Professor Aize Obayan Becomes Landmark University’s Vice Chancellor


Professor Aize Obayan has been appointed the new Vice Chancellor of Landmark University Omu- Aran Kwara State.

The Executive Council, Living Faith Church Worldwide, led by the Visionary / Chancellor and Chairman Board of Regents of Landmark University, Dr. David Oyedepo confirmed her appointment with immediate effect.

She would be taking over from the acting Vice-Chancellor Professor Joseph Afolayan, who has been at the helms of leadership since August, 2014.

Professor Obayan's appointment came as no surprise to many due to the quality of leadership she had exhibited over the years.

Aize Obayan is a Professor of Counselling, specializing in Multicultural issues in Counseling.

She is the immediate past Vice - Chancellor of the prestigious Covenant University, Ota Ogun State Nigeria, where she served with excellence for eight academic sessions as Vice- Chancellor. She was instrumental to driving the Vision of Covenant University successfully which is:
  
'To be a leading World-Class Christian Mission University, committed to raising a new generation of leaders in all fields of Human endeavor'

and its Mission which states:

'To create knowledge and restore the dignity of the black man via a Human Development and Total Man Concept driven curriculum employing innovative, leading edge, teaching and learning methods, research and professional services that promote integrated, life-applicable, life-transforming education relevant to the context of Science, Technology and Human Capacity Building'. 

One can say without mincing words that relatively, Covenant University is indeed getting closer to achieving it's vision and mission especially with the number of highly competent graduates that is produced by the university yearly.

Professor Obayan has won numerous awards as a university administrator one of which is the National Universities Commission award in 2006 as the Best Vice-Chancellor for the Private Universities Category.

Professor Aize Obayan, has also served on a number of boards such as the Board of National Universities Commission, Nigeria, the Central Bank of Nigeria’s FSS 2020 Human Capital Development Committee ,the Council of the Nigerian Institute of Management and the Executive Council, Living Faith Church Worldwide.

She is also a highly seasoned public speaker.
